1. Overview and Acceptance

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Techlastic Inc., doing business as MyExpensesLog (“MyExpensesLog,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the website, creating an account, uploading information, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you are using MyExpensesLog on behalf of a household, business, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that person or entity to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You may use MyExpensesLog only if you can form a binding contract under applicable law. The service is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Accounts, Credentials, and Household Access

You are responsible for providing accurate registration information, keeping your login credentials confidential, and restricting access to your account. You are also responsible for activity that occurs under your account unless caused by our breach of these Terms or failure to use reasonable security measures.

If you invite other users into a household workspace, you are responsible for making sure you are authorized to share the relevant household information with them. Household members may be able to view and manage shared budgeting, transaction, bill, loan, split, report, and alert data depending on the service features available at that time.

You must notify us promptly at support@myexpenseslog.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. User Obligations and Acceptable Use

You agree that you will:

• Use the service only for lawful purposes.
• Provide data that you have the right to upload, share, and process.
• Keep your contact information reasonably current.
• Review imported or manually entered financial information for accuracy.
• Use the service in a way that does not interfere with other users or our systems.

You may not:

• Reverse engineer, copy, scrape, or resell the service except as allowed by law.
• Upload malicious code, harmful files, or unlawful content.
• Attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or access controls.
• Use the service to infringe another person’s privacy, intellectual property, or other rights.
• Use the service to send unauthorized marketing, spam, or fraudulent invitations.

5. User Data, Imports, and Your Responsibilities

MyExpensesLog lets you submit, import, store, organize, and analyze information such as profile details, household membership data, transaction files, budgets, categories, bills, loans, splits, notes, and related financial records (collectively, “User Data”).

You retain ownership of your User Data. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, limited license to host, copy, process, transmit, and display that User Data only as needed to operate, secure, maintain, improve, and support the service and to comply with law.

You are solely responsible for the legality, accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness of your User Data. MyExpensesLog is a tool for organization and analysis; it is not your official accounting ledger, bank statement, lender record, tax filing, or legal record.

6. Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation

Some features may require a paid subscription. Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis unless stated otherwise at checkout. Pricing, plan features, trial terms, taxes, and renewal timing will be shown before purchase.

Payments are processed by third-party providers such as Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own servers. By purchasing a paid plan, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge the selected payment method for all amounts due.

Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable once charged. You may cancel a paid subscription at any time through your billing portal or by contacting us at support@myexpenseslog.com. If you cancel, your plan will typically remain active through the end of the current paid period unless the checkout terms state otherwise.

We may suspend paid features or downgrade your account if payment fails, a charge is reversed, or we reasonably suspect fraud or abuse.

7. Intellectual Property

The service, including its software, branding, design, text, graphics, reports, and other content we provide, is owned by MyExpensesLog or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the service under these Terms, no rights are granted to you.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us the right to use them without restriction or compensation to you.

8. Service Availability, Feature Changes, and Suspension

We may add, remove, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may also perform maintenance, updates, security fixes, or infrastructure changes that temporarily affect availability.

We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created security or legal risk, failed to pay amounts due, or used the service in a fraudulent or abusive manner.

9. Third-Party Services

The service may rely on or link to third-party tools and providers, including hosting, authentication, email delivery, and payment services. Those third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them except as required by law.

10. Important Disclaimers

MyExpensesLog is provided for budgeting, recordkeeping, planning, and household visibility purposes only. It does not provide banking services, brokerage services, custody services, debt collection services, insurance, tax advice, legal advice, accounting advice, or investment advice. The service does not move money, initiate transfers, or act as your financial institution.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, quiet enjoyment, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

11. Limitations of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MyExpensesLog and its officers, owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, savings, goodwill, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or relating to your use of the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount you paid us for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where such limitation is prohibited.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MyExpensesLog and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and licensors from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or relating to your User Data, your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person’s rights.

13. Governing Law, Jurisdiction, and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute, claim, or controversy that arises out of or relates to these Terms or the service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and each party consents to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts.

Before filing a claim, you agree to first contact us at support@myexpenseslog.com with a written description of the dispute and to attempt to resolve the matter informally for at least 30 days.

14. Modification of Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page, update the effective date, and may also provide notice by email, in-app message, or another reasonable method. Your continued use of the service after the updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms.

If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the service and, if needed, cancel your subscription before the revised Terms take effect.

15. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent, but we may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.
